Teach Now is looking for an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Dacorum, Hertfordshire. This is a full-time, term-time position, ideal for individuals with strong classroom presence who enjoy supporting young people in their learning journey.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment during teacher absences. You’ll need to think on your feet, manage behaviour effectively, and communicate with clarity and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver pre-set lessons across Key Stages 3–5 in a range of subjects.
• Maintain a calm, focused atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students to stay on task and engage fully in learning.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
About You
• Strong classroom management and confident presence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable, professional, and able to use initiative.
• Experience working with secondary-aged students (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work).
• Reliable and available five days per week.
